ADX Turns 5: A Photo Recap
Last weekend, ADX celebrated our 5th birthday with an all-day party! Check out some of our favorite photos from the event.
Our friends at Ryonet worked the screen printing station.
The weather was ideal for hanging out in front of the shop by Right Bayou’s cajun food truck .
Shop dogs in attendance got the opportunity to make new friends!
Big news! We officially announced our partnership with Portland Apparel Lab. In our office spaces next door, PAL will open an ADX-style maker space and accelorator for fashion and apparel. PAL founder Dawn Moothart introduced herself as a new member of the ADX family.
Owner Kelley Roy showed some love for our members who have been there since the beginning. Five years!
Kelley announced that she’s treating our staff to an overnight stay at the Silcox Hut above Timberline Lodge. The shop will be closed September 26-27 to give our staff some much needed R&R!
Our resident upholsterer, Jonathan, revealed that he had a surprise for Kelley.
But she’d have to be blindfolded first.
What could it be…?
The idea came to Jonathan when he noticed the lamp post in the construction site across the street. After some negotiation, he acquired the lamp and began work personalizing it for ADX.
Okay Kelley, light it up!
At the very top is a miniature replica of the Old Town water tower, complete with white stag.
“It takes a village of makers working together to create your vision of ADX. We thank you, Kelley Roy. May this light guide us for another 5 years.”
Count the number of roses!
This quarter pipe doubles as a giant boom box!
Thanks to everyone who attended, and everyone who has supported ADX over these five years. Here’s to five more!
