Can an Aussie Chef make American Barbeque?
Chef Outta Water + ADX have teamed up to bring you Portland’s first Aussie/American BBQ block party featuring Astoria, Oregon’s Chef Chris Holen and North Queensland, Australia’s Chef Michael Brine. Hosted at ADX’s Portland, this party will feature local food, local goods, local art and local beer — all with an Australian twist!
Chefs Brine and Holen will be cooking over open fire pits from local brand Stahl Firepits with craft beer from Migration Brewing and hot sauces from Portland’s own Secret Aardvark.
In the true spirit of Chef Outta Water collaboration, we’ll be challenging Chef Brine is to put his Australian flair on show with Northwest US ingredients. Warning: Look out for what might be the world’s first crocodile bratwurst!
ADX Portland’s Gallery of Makers will be open all night during the event where you can check out the variety of products and art created by local Portland Makers.
