Enzo Mari’s Sedia 1 Chair – A Series
Build a well-designed and sturdy chair from scratch, using your own hands, by following Enzo Mari’s instructions from the book Autoprogettazione. Originally published in 1974, the book consists of plans for several easy-to-assemble furniture designs. More than a how-to, the book is a response to mass production and industrialization of furniture. Learning to make the Sedia 1 chair will challenge your perception of how the objects we use every day are produced and hold up over time.
This 4-week series is offered on consecutive Sunday mornings: 8/6, 8/13, 8/20 and 8/27.
