Build and customize your own full-size hope chest in this 4 session series. This is a traditional woodworking project that utilizes many of the tools and processes frequently done in a wood shop, teaching you how to square up material, prepare for assembly, and protect for longtime use. This class is great for beginners and intermediate students who want to build on their woodworking skills while making a beautiful keepsake that can be used for many years to come.
This 4 session course begins on June 19th and continues on the following weeks, 6/26, 7/3, and 7/10. Please confirm with your schedule that you will be available to attend each session.

This project based class covers how to glue-up material into larger boards, plane and sand to thickness, cut box joints, assemble with hardware, and finish to protect.
Planer, drum sander, jointer, table saw, dado stack, box joint jig, biscuit joiner, wood-glue, cherry or comparable hard wood, various finishes. All materials are included in the ticket price.

Classes are limited to 4 students to ensure lots of hands-on time with the tools and personal attention from the instructor.
