Want to get the most out of the Wood Shop at ADX? This class will give you the fundamental skills and build the confidence needed to safely utilize the Wood Shop. Learn how to mill rough lumber into four-square boards (the first step in the ubiquitous cheeseboard project!) using the table saw, bandsaw, chop saw, planer and joiner. Learn how to be a good ADX member and properly care for tools and clean up after use. This introductory class sets the stage for more ADX classes, including Router Table Basics, Shaker Tables, and various other project-based classes.
ADX provides unsurfaced lumber, all tools and equipment (ticket price includes materials, consumables and safety equipment).
The non-member price includes 1 month of Wood Shop Membership ($175 value!) so you can practice what you learned and get started on your next project!
***New members must still attend our New Member Orientation within a month of the class start date before you can work in the shops. Check your receipt after purchasing for your coupon code to waive the orientation fee ($25 value!). You may take the orientation before or after this class, your membership will begin on the day you have completed both.***
