In this class, students are taught the principles behind building jigs for different tools and processes. Jigs are important for repeated identical processes such as cutting, drilling, and assembling. Jigs are also important tools that can used to increase safety and decrease working time. The forces behind each tool and process may be different, but this class teaches you how to control them and become a more methodical maker. Once the basics are understood, jigs can be designed for almost limitless processes and materials.
ADX provides metal stock, all tools, equipment, materials, consumables, and safety gear. Sample jigs are used and discussed to show their applications
No experience required! This class is great for makers in wood or metal who want to professionalize their process by working more efficiently and accurately.
