Kitchen Knife Series – 2 of 2
Join us for a 2-week series building a handle, assembling a knife and sharpening the 5” blade for use in the kitchen or while camping. Work with a selection of exotic hardwoods to shape a custom handle, learn how to properly apply epoxy to attach scales to the tang, drill pin holes, buffer the wood, and finally, polish the blade throughout with sandpaper and sharpen the blade using a wet stone. Ben will facilitate the first two classes while students focus on building their custom handle; Hunter will work with everyone during the final class to sharpen each blade like a professional. Previous experience or knowledge of woodworking is not required, but expect to leave with some!
