Pattern Printing Basics: Screenprinting Series
In this 2-class series you’ll learn how to create a repeating pattern using a variety of media, and how to print that pattern onto a flat surface, designing your own textiles or wallpaper! Patterns on fabric can be used for garments, upholstery, tapestries, curtains, and much more, leading to many potential projects that utilize the various shops at ADX. This challenging but fun buddy-printing technique builds on the principles learned in Intro to Screenprinting, so sign up with a friend and get inspired together! You’ll leave class with pattern that you designed printed on paper and a section of fabric that you printed!
This weekend workshop is a 2 session course that begins on Saturday June 16th and continues on the following Sunday June 17th. Please confirm with your schedule that you will be available to attend each session.
All materials will be provided, including ink, emulsion, paper and cleaning chemicals. Tools include Pattern Printing table, pre-prepared screens, squeegees, exposure unit, drying racks, etc.
