Cut steel and aluminum on our PRO Series Plasma CNC! This class will teach students how to set up, safely use, and troubleshoot common problems with the Metal Shop CNC. Learn how to format, upload and print your files, as well as how to set up a CNC and make sure it runs smoothly and safely. Basic design and file setup is covered, though this class focuses on how to operate the Plasma CNC machine. Consider scheduling One-on-One Instruction to learn about how to design files. We recommend a basic knowledge of and experience with vector files and file setup.
CNC ROUTER ACCESS
Successful completion of Plasma CNC Basics is required before members may rent time on the Plasma CNC.
Plasma CNC Rental is $25/hour run-time.
Access to the 48″x48″ Plasma CNC is available in 2-hour sessions: 9-11am, 11-1pm, 1-3pm, 3-5pm, 5-7pm, and 7-9pm. Members may sign up for up to two sessions per day. Schedule sessions by contacting the Member Representative by calling (503) 915-4342 or emailing email@example.com.
